DIY save the dates???

so... FH and i want to send our save the dates around christmas time, and we thought it would be fun to have them double as christmas cards (for those who are being invited). but the ones on Magnet street (only place i've looked) i don't really like. the ones i do like dont have a picture option.

did anybody do magnets themselves?? or know any other good site?

i had a friend who printed her own and i really didn't like how they came out, they were very flimsy and i just didn't care for them. Thanks!!!

I ordered my STD's from magnetstreet. Initially, I had the same problem as you - the ones I liked didn't have a photo option. I chose a design without photos that I loved and paid a little extra to add photos to the layout. The magnets came out great and I was so excited that I used a design I loved and got to add 2 of our engagement photos to it.

We got ours from agiftfulheart.com - they have a bunch of cute ones and if you don't like any of their options you can make custom ones.

we made our own. I made a design in photoshop, and FH printed them out at work (he works at a college so they were high quality ink and paper). We bought self-adhesive magnet strips from michaels, stuck em on, and cut them with a razor cutter- everyone thought we ordered them!!

and everything cost only about $30. - for 200 magnets. The magnet rolls are about $10 a roll.

No problem at all! There's a photo of mine in my album and you can see the original white wine design on the website (the one that doesn't include photos). They charged me $25 to redesign the layout. It was totally worth it! GL - can't wait to see your STD's!
