DIY STD Magnets

Hi All,

I've seen a few posts about STD magnets that were DIY. What's the best way to go about doing these? I've seen that a bunch of brides have printed out photos and then attached them to magnets...do you just use the adhesive on the magnets or do you use a separate adhesive?

I also saw one bride had a special machine...is that necessary/expensive?

I made my own and they turned out great. You can either buy the magnets cut to size (they have the adhesive on them) or you can actually buy magnet paper that can go in your printer. Check out mine they r in my album under invites

they actaually sell the business card magnets at staples..u just pull it off and stick it on...u have to print your picture or whatever your doing on card stock..which u can also get at staples..i did it and it cost me 30 bucks and came out very cute...

i made them myself! i did buy a machine (xyron 900) but it was well worth it! it makes magnets, stickers, and laminates...i bought it on sale for $60 and ive used it sooo many times!

if u plan on doing a lot of diy its def worth it!

but what i did was make the std's using publisher, then printed them out at cvs (u can make mini-prints) and print between 2 and 4 pictures on one 4x6 picture..then i ran that through the xyron machine to make magnets..but u can also buy magnet sized buisness cards to stick on the back at staples

we just bought the bag of magnetic stripping at Michael's and cut it down & put them on the things themselves. The place where we got our STD wanted to charge 1.00 per ticket to make them magnetic. We spent 5.00 and all 100 were magnetic!
