DIY Table Number question...

DIY Table Number question...

Check out my inspiration pic for my table numbers - LOVE this idea. My only problem... I don't know how to make an EVEN border for them (as they did so lovely in the photo). Do I buy spray glue?

Any tips from my DIY pros?!?

TIA

My STDs were very similar in design. We eyeballed it and it worked just fine! I doubt anyone would be looking too closely. We purchased a giant container of Elmer's glue sticks and they stuck perfectly- no lumps or anything! HTH!

I think I'm confused.

I would either PRINT out the border, or mat the white to the black... That way it's even (mat meaning center and layer!)

Did I confuse you more?

haha yes, perhaps a little more confused, but not too much i definitely get the 'printing' the border. as for the 'mat' is that something i could buy? like just the border?

Re: DIY Table Number question...

Just a piece of black (or whatever color border you want) paper cut a 1/4 of an inch bigger than the white. Or a half an inch, whatever you want... Then just glue or double-sided tape the white onto the black paper.... The fact that the black is bigger will create a border....

If it's for a table number, you don't have to worry too much about people playing with them and pulling the two pieces apart (or if you use the right glue you don't either!!!)

FM me if you need more help. I try to come on here often, but I don't always see everything!!!

This is exactly what I did for my STDs. We did the STDs as 5x7 cards then the white part with the actual info on it was 4x6 blank index card! I thought you just meant how do you get it so that it's even all the way around- but we just eyeballed it. No one is gonna look too closely, especially at table numbers.
