So, in your opinion, is it worth it to do your own invites? I do not need anything extravagent in an invite, that is why I am considering. However, what kind of savings are we talking about? Do you think DIY will be a substantial savings? If it isnt that much of a financial difference, I do not know if it is worth my time and aggravation.
Do you ladies think DIY are worth the trouble?

I've been starting to look in to it too. I'm also wondering if everyone like the kits or the pick-your-own stuff?

Re: DIY Wedding Invites
I just started my DIY Invites, pics are in my albums.
For me, it was worth it, I got all the materials for about 200 for 100 invites, if I had bought htem it would have easily been 500-1000 for the invites.
I have helped a friend use the Michaels invitation kits, she got htem on the 30% off all wedding items sale, and they worked well and saved her so much money. The kits can be limited in color, I will warn you, but if htey match your color scheme, or there is one similar to it, they are a good way to go.

I am making my own!!!! I am sure that when I am doing all of the printing and measuring I am going to hate it, but I am saving A LOT (hundreds) of money. I am using cardsandpockets.com for almost everything.

Definitely worth it!! I bought the Brides kits from Michael's with 40% off coupons. They were originally $40 for 30 invites, but with the coupon, they came out to be less. We'll be printing them at home on our laser printer and couldn't be more pleased!
