I'd be too stressed to do all those things. I did my own save the dates and will do my own menu cards and programs. I look at it this way If for some reason I couldnt finish those 2 projects or they came out bad, I could live without them on my wedding day. I think Wedding invites are too important to do on my own but i'm not that crafty either

I made mine- got a PDF from hesawsparks on etsy (the DIY pocketfold damask one)... I bought metallic cardstock and A7 and A1 matching envelopes (aspire petallics beargrass) from thepapermillstore.com, pocketfolds from cardsandpockets.com (the etsy seller will tell you to pick a color pocketfold from there and will match the font color to be exactly the same as the pocketfold), and glue dots from michaelsI printed everything at my college, cut with my FMIL's paper cutter, and assembled everything from there. It was fairly easy, just took alot of time. If you start now, you will be able to do it without having to rush and be able to enjoy the process :)

Cets, I'd love to see the end result. I'm thinking of making my invites, too, and would love to see some ideas.

DIY wedding invites?
I bought the kits from michaels and they were super easy. It sends you to the company's website and you download a template and then change the info. I have pics in my album if you want to see mine.

I did the same thing and it worked out great. It was so cost effective and easier than I thought it would be.

I did this for the invites for my parents 25th anniversary party. it was so so easy! my FH is good with computer so that helped too lol but I def recommend diy invites. the cost of invites is inane! I think we are getting our cards from target. so many places have them, party city, Michaels, ac moore, Joann's Wal-Mart so many options! good. luck

Re: DIY wedding invites?
If you have time, DIY is great....we have saved so much...but my fiance is an artist and designed our invites....but we ordered pocket folds from Cards and Pockets online and took our proofs to Minute Man Press, then did everything ourselves....one afternoon with some supplies from Michaels and we put 75 invites together that people thought were professionally done....doing DIY programs, signage, menu cards, cry packs, table numbers, card box, everything....very good if you have some time (although we actually did most of our planning in the last month and a half, with one more to go)....if you have time and patience you can pretty much do most things like that yourself and save money, if you research it and plan wisely!

Don't be afraid to DIY! I had a list of about 75 things I wanted to DIY - table numbers, all the signage, baskets, matchbook covers, invitation suite and envelopes, bridesmaid boxes, the works! It just takes time and patience. I did all my invitation pieces through Vistaprint and they look amazing - I did the envelopes on my gigantic printer and people can't tell they weren't professionally printed. We did it to capture our personalities and it has been great....everything is done and ready and we still have a few months to go.
