Anyone willing to share what they are paying for a DJ? We're looking for a DJ/LIve combo-- I found one that i LOVE- but it is SOOOO expensive (i think) But I'm not sure what everyone else is paying-- anyone like to share? Thank you!

Re: DJ?
I havent booked my dj yet, booked an appointment with them though for next week...BUt i do know how much they are already.
Alot of people dont like posting what they are paying, others are fine with it.
You'll get alot more responses if you say the price you were quoted and what you are getting for that price...this way girls will tell you whether or not its a good price

Re: DJ?
I am having a family friend do it at the family friend price. I know that doesnt help.
However when i was thinking about using absolute entertainment they quoted us around $2,400 for a 3 man package including two plasmas, a zapshot photographer and some lighting works..

Re: DJ?
Wow- staying under $1000 is going to be tough-- I LOVE this DJ-- but it's $3900 for dj/emcee/saz/percussion with NO LIGHTS!! No screens, no video-- nothing just music!!! $3900 is NUTS just for music-- I'm glad to know it's not just me!!

Re: DJ?
I'm having one of the staff from the college I work at. He DJ's for Hooters on the side. I've seen him a few times, and he's pretty good. He does it on his own, and he has smoke, and lights for $500. Here I go again, cheaping out, but hey on a small budget like ours, I'd be happy with a boom box!

Re: DJ?
For a very popular Greek DJ that spins at the clubs they only quoted me $1500 with lights, mc/dj ( i want less talk and more music, lol) and I think that is with screens, for 6 hours, thats not bad at all, but I am also gettting a band so music will be alot more

Body Rock Entertainment -You can't usually choose your own DJ but we saw them in a showcase so were able to name the one we wanted. They wrote his name in the contract.
Starlight Express is another. We liked them too but they offered us more money. I couldn't find our mock contract so I can't tell exactly how much more.
