What is the average price of a DJ? I called about 4 different places and got 4 different price ranges, I am going to post on the vendor page to get prices also from them directly. Just wanted to see what people were paying for a 4 hour long reception?
for a 2 man dj and mc team with a basic light show it usually ranges from 1200-1800. Some DJs also throw in ceremony and cocktail music (sound system with cd) and some charge between 100-200 extra for each. If you want extra like plasmas or uplighting it costs more...uplighting the entire ballroom ranges from about 800-1300
I'm paying $1000 for a 2 man show but did not need ceremony or cocktail music so that took off about $500
im paying 3000 for dj/mc,lighting,ch music,2 50 inch plasmas 35 pic montage with a cd plus all the pics they take from that night n put on the screen
I am using Raphael Gordon of Music Mixed intelligently. For a basic package which includes DJ is under $1,000. This price includes favors, CH, four hours of music, and basic lighting.
We are paying 1195 for one DJ - cocktail hr music and ceremony music included - no frills...
Everyone is on point...just depends on what you want to add on. Basic DJ/MC - one man for 4 hours can be about $1,000, add an MC, and extra hour...etc...

I worked with a small band/DJ/MC for cocktail hour and 4 hr. reception for less than 2k. They were phenomenal! They played live for our intro, daughter/father dance, mother/son dance, first dance, etc. and a majority of our DJ list. FM me for more info if you need any referral.
