DJ advice

First post on LI weddings...
I just booked the venue (Chateau Briand) for my May 2013 wedding and am having a bit of anxiety about having to plan a wedding in a little over 9 months! Anyway, I've decided after booking the venue that my two biggest concerns are getting a dress and booking a DJ (I neeeeeed good music and a BIG party feel!). I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for DJ's. I've heard good things about Tommy's Tunes and LI Entertainment. Anyone work with them, or any others they liked? Thanks!

I booked with Tommy Tunes for a variety of reasons. Their reputation is flawless and they run the business with the utmost professionalism. I have also seen them a wedding recently and thought they played amazing music and had great energy. They also gave us everything we were looking for and we came in under budget.

We DID also look at LI sound and liked them too, but they were very expensive.

I saw Phil and After Hours at a wedding and thought they were great! Phil has a lot of energy and can get your party started, but they were just not what I was looking for in a DJ company.

A friend of mine is also using FM entertainment and I have heard they are VERY reasonable with pricing. Good Luck!

We originally were going to book Long Island Sound but met Niel from New York Nights Entertainment and instantly fell in love! I'm a house music lover and so is he, he def knows how to spin! I watched his videos and he gets so into it, which is what we loved! We want EVERYONE to have a good time. All the guys in the office were so sweet and professional, I was so pumped once we left! I'd def check them out! Prices were so reasonable and the customer service was awesome, he instantly made us feel comfy! Good luck!

THIS exactly! I met with LI Sound and After Hours - great guys, but I liked Tommy Tunes better (the reputation and the price!)

I met with Tommy's Tunes and After Hours so far, and both were super nice and accommodating but Tommy Tunes prices beat After Hours by a large chunk of money and so I think we are leaning towards them. My FH liked the guy at Tommy's Tunes better too, he has no explanation to why haha just said he got a good vibe and I liked them both so I said fine

We booked LI Sound based off of that they've been the DJ at 4 weddings we've been to and a New Years Eve event and have never been dissappointed. They are more expensive than other companies but they did give us a significant discount that put them at a competitive price for us. Also have heard really great things about Tommy's Tunes as well but have no personal experience.

check out Bravura!!!!!!!! they are great

Could you FM me a quote from them, if you have one? I was just at a wedding and they were using Bravura. They were really great, but I'm worried they are too pricey.
