DJ Advice

We're all booked for our July 5th wedding at Lombardis on the Sound, and have booked Ken Hild for our photos!! Really happy with everyone so far, but having some DJ trouble. Met with Tommy Tunes and all their MCs (including the 2 we knew and liked) were available and then less than a month later when we called for a contract, suddenly all but 4 guys who I've never heard of were booked!! I asked if we could meet with them or see them at a showcase at least but was told they all have other full time jobs and I could meet with them a month before our wedding! I'm a little bit of a control freak and cannot handle not knowing our MC will be good. Was going to meet with LI Sound, but called them 4 times to set up a meeting and never got a response so my fiance is done with them...

Any recommendations out there?!?!!

Check out Absolute Entertainment. We met with at least 6 different DJ's when we were going through that process and we absolutely loved them the minute we met with them. I also had a friend who used them for her November wedding and had nothing but raves about them. You can check out their website to get an idea of pricing but they usually work with you so if you are interested definitely meet with them anyway.

How about After Hours? They have videos on their youtube channel of all their MC's and DJ's and they also have showcases often.

I booked with Phil as the MC. They are very reasonably priced too!

Check out Ultimate Sound DJs. They do mini showcases at their office and u can meet some of the MCs.

I'm surprised you haven't hear back from LI Sound, they were always so prompt in returning calls to us. One of their MCs who works in the office just passed away so they may still be dealing with that. I've also heard good things about Absolute but never met with them

I agree with kaw2be. They have been awesome with responses and their showcase did just for me when I went in to meet them was out of this world.

Thanks! I emailed LI Sound again today, and they got back to me pretty much right away. I'll have to set up some appointments! Thanks for all of the suggestions!

This! I booked with After Hours and am very happy. They'll also price match any quote you received from another DJ company so bring your Tommy's Tunes quote with you! I booked with MC Rob.

I had the same experience with LI Sound. I called them and they never returned my call. When I called back and they answered, I scheduled an appt. I went with my family to their Mineola office only to find it closed! When I called they said they had nothing in the book for our appointment. In their defense, they said if I made another appt they would make it up to me, but my FH and I decided to look elsewhere.
