DJ and cost

DJ and cost

I am helping my sister book her dj and I just wanted to get an idea about how much a dj cost for the following:

$1,500.00 tax included for the DJ, MC, lights, giveaways & cocktail hour. Gratuity is not included

Is this about right?

I got married 2 years ago and I paid alot less.

Thanks for the help.

Re: DJ and cost

we are paying $1100 for DJ, MC, Cocktail hour music and giveaways. We did not opt for the lights. That $1100 does not include grats and there is no tax. (At least there shouldn't be I was told. )

I am paying $1400 for 5 hours of music (do not need them for cocktail hour), MC, DJ, giveaways, lights, bubble machine and costumes for my guests to wear during the playing of certain songs. There is no tax charged and there should not be gratituity charged. What and if you want to give the DJ and MC a tip is up to you.

we are paying a bit more for a complete 6 hour affair including cocktail hour, giveaways, light show (laser & Intellilights) snow, confetti cannons, dry ice, bubble machines, 2 MCs and black light show at entrance from viennesse hour. That price definately sounds average, although I have heard of some less expensive vendors.
