Hi Everyone - I will be getting married on June 30th 2005 and am looking for an affordable, classy (not cheezy!) DJ recommendation. Any ideas? Also, what is your opinion of those 'fusion' DJ's that provide a DJ with drums & a sax? I've never seen them at a wedding and it sounds like a good alternative to a band, but not sure how it really works out live. Do the instruments completely overpower the music? Any advice would be appreciated. Also, what is the typical price range for a DJ?? Thanks everyone!! - Laura
P.S. How do you evaluate a DJ? It's not like you can request a demo CD like you would with a band?? How can you tell if they're good?

Re: DJ and or DJ with Instruments Recommendation
We are using Long Island Sound with a percussionist and Saxophone player - we saw them at a wedding and they were AWESOME - not cheesy AT ALL!

Music by Micheal! He is not cheesy at all, that is why we booked him. I have heard nothing but great things about him. A girl on here had him at her wedding a month or so ago. She had him add a drummer. SHe told me it was worth the extra money and sounded awseome. I have never heard it for myself though.
