DJ budget/pricing Help

Ok...so I have begun looking for DJs. i have read all the reviews and I am going to Body Rock next week, Dance jock, ET, and FM. Just so I am prepared for these meetings, what is a reasonable cost for a DJ. I going to book a basic DJ/MC package and simple lighting for the dance floor...nothing crazy. Also, any tips for the meetings??? Thanks in advance ladies...this is the last major check on my checklist

I signed with Body Rock. I saw them perform at a showcase and knew I had to have them for my wedding. We met with Joann. She was extremely nice and helpful to us. I got a quote of $2600 for DJ/MC and a Percussionist for 5 hours (we are having an extended hour). We wound up going with a package that also included lighting and plasma screen TVs. So, I would assume the DJ/MC package will be much less than the $2600. Hope this helps...Good Luck and let us know how it goes!!
