How much of a deposit do most DJ's require? I need to start with DJ and Photo/Video and Flowers..I just want to make sure we have enough to leave all the deposits

It varies... I left $2500 for photo and $500 for video. I haven't booked a DJ yet but I had to leave a $300 deposit for my strings.

Depends on DJ...Our only required a $300 deposit to hold the date.

It depends on the photographer you work with, we paid 10%-$450 to Duet to book our date. As for DJ, we had to pay 50% deposit to hold our date. Some DJ's might take less, approx. 20%+ depending on the company. For the florist, we had to leave a 50% deposit. Make sure you read their terms in fine print on the contracts before you sign and leave the deposit. Deposits are non-refundable in most case!

I had to leave a $200 deposit for the DJ. Photographer I had to pay 1/3 of my bill.

My DJ required half. So, I paid it... less of a payment due later on, and I've got a contract and a receipt.
