Anyone else putting all the line dance types of songs on their dont play list? For example Hooky Pooky - Electric Slide - YMCA - Grease song (where the men & women sings to each other). I just hate those songs & I think they are corny. I just wanted to know if I was the only person doing this?

The only thing from your list that I will do is the Electric Slide. Everything else is too cheesy for a wedding.

I like the electric slide (it is a personal joke with a friend) But i do hate all other 'group dances' Macarena, the conga line, chicken dance, YMCA

I HATE the Chicken dance...and most of the others...we put a ? mark next to electric slide and advised DJ to play only if requested or dead dance floor...the only one we are doing is 'Paradise by the dashboard lights' because we do that at all family weddings, corny but tradtion...I thought I was the only one too that hated them!

My DJ will NOT play any of that stuff. If I had said I wanted it when we first met, he would have told they could not do the wedding.

OMG! I thought I was the only one...ours is miles long but it includes the macarena, electric slide, dancing queen, medleys, conga lines, time to say goodbye, my heart will go on, anything pop, etc.

no divas, no boy bands, no group dances...however, fmil gets one celine dion song or cher...but only one!! and i love paradise by the dashboard lite and i MUST have a grease song!! it was on last night and i am sooooo happy that i caught it!!!

I had a band, but same concept applies. I said NO CONGO line, NO Electric Slide, etc...IN fact I said NO even if they are requested. And people still danced the whole time.

Does anybody know if energy ent accepts a don't play list I forgot to ask. I absolutely hate all those corny song. I am an 80's girl . Love rick Springfield and Hall and Oates. I'll probably be the only one dancing if I play them though

Cool - im glad that I am not the only one. I told my DJ to say he doesnt have them if asked (which is a total lie since music by michael is compterized so he has all the songs with him all of the time
