DJ giveaways

will you be having the DJ give out giveaways(glow bracelets, sunglasses, necklaces, etc.)

I am having a band....but if I was having a DJ I would 100% skip the giveaways...they remind me of a sweet sixteen or bar mitzvah. JMO.

We aren't having the give-a-ways no one usually uses them they usually end up on the floor or in the garbage at the e nd of the nite

we are having a beach theme/got engaged in hawaii so we are just gonna give away those grass skirts and sungllasses and stuff, i think itll be fun with all of our drunk friends at the end of the night..lol, i knot that they will be thrown out, they cheap anyway

I usually would think they were stupid, but when you have drunk relatives, it gets kind of funny.
I am not even sure if my DJ gives anything out. I will have five kids, so maybe I will have something for them.

I'm so glad this was brought up. My FI wants them, and i don't think they work with our formal wedding.

I'm against them completely (even for bart/bat mitzvah's and sweet 16's) but Mom and FI are dead set on them.

So...I'm compromising...I'm personally picking them out.

Sticking to glow bracelets, gangster hats, venice masks, and that's it!

IMO- giveaways are for bar/bat mitzvahs and sweet 16s NOT weddings.

I'm not doing them-I don't want fluorescent colored blow up instruments in my video or pictures. However, Vinny at High Voltage is one of the few who carries things like champagne glass maracas-stuff that kind of blends in. If you have to have, that would be the way I would go...

I am having them(i have some children at the wedding so it is for them)(me i did not know about this till after the fact lol)
BUT if you do them do not get them from your dj. get them from oriental trading --everything the dj gives out for muchhhhhhhhhh cheaper

i dont think there is anything wrong with it, my JMO - it's very sweet sixteenish.

BUT i have been to weddings before where they had them and the guests like it! its your preference!

No giveaways or throwaways as we called them!!!

However, I have to admit it was funny at FH's cousin's Bat Mitzvah to see an older balding guy walking around with a headband and yellow fuzzies hanging from it.

(Anyone remember those fuzzy headbands or those glitter spaceball headbands? This was a combination of both!!)
