So i actually already have a DJ booked for our wedding, but I saw them in action this weekend at my aunt's wedding and wasn't too happy. I only left a small deposit so it wouldn't be horrible if i lost it. I know I could request a different set of DJ's from the same company, but I am not sure if i should risk it or not. They have a good reputation, but I am sure it will make me nuts from now unti the wedding worrying how they will be.
So who is everyone else using for a DJ? I have a call into High Voltage so I am waiting to hear back from them.
Thanks!

WOW! WELL, A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS. WAS YOUR AUNT'S WEDDING A DIFFERENT TYPE OF CROWD? B/C THAT CAN IMPACT THE MC. ALSO, WAS IT THE SAME MC AND DJ YOU ARE USING? BECASUE KEEP IN MIND EVERYONE HAS THERE OWN STYLE. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LOOKING AT OTHER PLACES B/C YOU WANT TO FEEL COMFORTABLE. WE LOVED DANCEJOCK. THEY DID ALL THREE OF MY SISTERS WEDDING. I HAVE A LOT OF RESPECT FOR THEM B/C MY SISTER GOT MARRIED A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER 9/11. THEY HANDLED THE SITUATION BEAUTIFULLY.

Well i know that it was a slightly different crowd. Our wedding will have a lot of the same people she had and then our younger friends which will make a difference. That def. isn't the only factor though. There were just other things that are making me nervous....like they had all these crates and other things out in front of the dj booth instead of behind and it just looked messy, during a dance where they were supposed to hand out roses to couples they were telling people to come get their rose instead of going around handing them out, they didn't bring the music system for the cocktail hour. And then it just seemed like they were playing a cd of music all night without really putting any effort in.

IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT YOU REALLY ARE REALLY UNSURE. DID YOU LOOK AT OTHER PLACES BEFORE YOU BOOKED WITH THEM? I WOULD DEFINATLY LOOK AT OTHER PLACES. IT CAN'T HURT. I WONDER WHO YOU ARE USING! GOOD LUCK!

Re: DJ Help!!!
I would suggest doing a little more research and meet with a few DJs as he will either make or break your party...I used Vinny from High Voltage and he was great! He had us all on the dance floor the entire night. I sat down three times throughout the night..once for the toast, once for the dinner and then when they shut off the music at the end of the night Vin is reasonably priced and very presonable...if you have a little bit more $$ budgeted and could splurge, Dash of Class DJs are also great. Good Luck!
