For girls who have booked their DJ, if you don't mind answering, How much more or less are you spending on your DJ Package or did you spend? For girls who haven't, how much did you budget for DJ?
I'm torn btwn 2 DJ's. One is a preferred vendor for my hall but their prices are a lil on the high side. The other DJ is not a preferred vendor but is offering me a similar package, but less $$. I don't know what to do. I've heard great things about both, but the preferred vendor has more advantage to use the plasmas at my hall but is that enough to book them?? Help! What would you do??

I am very curious about this too. I havent started looking but would love to know going rate. I budgeted around 1,000 bc I just wanted a DJ and MC but my FH now wants the photo montage so I know the budget will go up. I could be way off bc my 1st marriage 8 1/2 yrs ago we used Body Rock and paid around 1500.

I voted for 1,000 - 2000 but we're paying about $1300 & getting the works.. dj&mc, 250 party giveaways, 2plasmas, CH music, zap shots, percussionist & the full intelligent light show.
ETA: Go with who fits your budget & who you like the best!

I LOVE our DJ. It was between them and another company and ultimately they won solely based on personality! I'm now spending about 1500 MORE than the other quote for the same thing just b/c I liked the owner better! To me...I'd rather spend more money and have a good working relationship then save a buck but not jive well.
I'm paying 2,000 and we have a DJ/MC and uplighting.

I hired G&F Global Entertainment (they are a vendor on here) for $1,000 for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music. That is 5 1/2 hours of music for my afternoon wedding.

PS Plasmas @ a weddign are not as good as one big projection screen if u ask me- look into it. One DJ even told me that i could bring my own flat screens lol

we met with Tommy Tunes & Body Rock. They were basically around the same price. We added a few extras. I think we are paying $2195
