DJ lights....HELP!!! (poll)

Ok I am SO on the fence over whether or not I should get those lights that come w/ the DJ.

Thoughts???

We're on the fence too. As of now we don't have them but we might add them later.

I felt the same way about the lights, I didn't know why or if we needed them but after asking everyone it seems like since we were having an evening wedding everyone suggested getting the lights. Especially b/c our hall has tons of windows and might be a little dark, also they said it highlights the dance floor. And if your worried about it looking cheesy or like a disco, (like I was) you just have to tell them exactly what you want and don't want as far as the lights go. Hope this helps a little.

It came with our dj, we are on the fence about it as well, but we are pretty sure we will keep it.

I like the lights.. It adds a dramatic effect when you are doing your first dance.

I was VERY on the fence about the lights.... But the owner of the company we are using (Bravura) convinced me that the lights don't have to be cheesy... He said they will highlight oru colors... the tables... and that it adds a lot. After hearing his spiel, we decided to go with it!

We're getting the basic light package, nothing over the top, just something to give the 'party' effect. Esp since it's a night wedding, I think you should go for it.

We are not doing lights.
1 - We don't like them.
2- We heard that they can ruin pics. (which actually happened at the e-party)
3 - our reception is in the day in a room with a lot of windows, so there is no point.

I'm having a dj w/ the intelligent lighting. The only thing I don't like is the 'scented smoke' but he told me that I can get any flavor, and it doesn't smell that strong. But I wanted the lighting b/c of that JLo video, w/ the green laser light, I love it!
