I'm working on our MUST PLAY & DO NOT PLAY list for the DJ and figured i'd ask what you girls have on your lists....(those of you that have them already)...

MUST PLAY:

Hazy Shade of Winter – Bangles
You Belong to Me – Bob Dylan
Sweet Jayne – Cowboy Junkies
Power of Love – Huey Lewis
We’re In This Together Now – Nine Inch Nails
The Sweetest Thing – U2
Jessica – Allman Brothers (I was named after this song)
Scotty Doesn’t Know – Eurotrip Soundtrack
Bidibodi Bidibu – Bubbles – Beerfest Soundtrack
Romeo & Juliet – Dire Straights
Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
Mambo Number 5 - by Lou Bega(thanks MICI!) - HEY - it's the only song where they say JESSICA!!!!!

DO NOT PLAY:

Anything by Justin Timerlake, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey.
No GROUP DANCES (eg: chicken dance, electric slide, etc).
Nothing typical weddingy....'last dance', 'we are family', etc.

hmmm...........i think its a pretty good list i dont have much of a do not play list pretty much just no rap and no version of the song open arms (FHs song with his ex)

our must play includes
time warp
paradise by the dashboiard light
dont stop belivein by journey ( its the last dance song)
and a few 90's songs

but like i said not much of a do not play......

i agree these are all on the do not play list at my wedding!!!!

for our banned list, absolutely no group dances, no typical wedding stuff (we are family, last dance - no thank you!), no country, no hard rap.

our request list changes, but so far we have:

blue monday - new order
enjoy the silence - lacuna coil
just like heaven - the cure
i want you to want me - cheap trick
mobscene - marilyn manson (may put this on a mix cd for CH, don't think the old folks will like it)
in the end - linkin park
how soon is now - the smiths

Livin on a Prayer- Bon Jovi is a must play for me and so is Sexyback but you said no Justin Timberlake..haha

Some other songs I was thinking about for must play is:

You shook me all night long- ACDC
Pour some sugar on me
FH love to do Shout at a wedding so this will be on our list..haha

I have to start looking at what I want.

ugh, I hate when that happens. I have a running list saved on my computer at home now so when a song pops in my hand I try to immediately go and type it in.
