I'm getting married at the Swan Club next October - we are thinking about booking In the Mix DJ's. Does anyone have any advice about just using a DJ versus using the DJ and the MC? I know they have a 'multitalented' DJ that acts as both - would that be enough?

I've been to wedding with just a DJ, and they all were really lacking the enthusiasm. Anyone can play music, but I feel like you really need someone on the microphone getting people off their feet, saying a few words every now and then, etc.

We got two guys.... I used to be a bridal attendant and IMO the weddings with just a DJ weren't nearly as fun, they weren't as lively. Plus if someone needs a bathroom break or something, the other can cover. There are MC's that arn't cheesy but get the party started.
