DJ or band?

So, my MOH and my FH's Best Man, got together and decided they'd like to book and pay for our favorite NYC based band for our wedding....

Part of me loves the idea, because theyre an original fun band, but another part thinks a dj would be better for my guests because they would recognize the music...

Curious if anyone else is in the band/dj dilema...
