DJ Prices?

Hey all,

I am new to the long island wedding scene, and I am just wondering what to expect to pay for a DJ for 4 hours at my reception ( I know the prices will range, but I just don't want to be completely shocked when they throw a number at me).

I'm paying about 2000 for the DJ incl. party favors and the MCing.

I am paying 1800 and it will be for the ceremony music and the 4 hour reception. You can get cheaper than that though. My friend used Ralph from High Energy and they had good prices and they were really good.

You can get cheaper I think. My $2000 includes a lot. So it all depends on what you're looking for.

i just talked to in the mix and tommy's tunes on sat.
in the mix is 1450 which includes a free 5th hour (we're not sure how long our reception is yet), a dj, an mc, and some giveaways.

tommy's tunes was 1850 for a dj, and an mc (that includes 100 for 5th hour just in case). giveaways are a bit extra depending on how many you want.

I am paying 1200 for ceremony, cocktail hour, and four hour reception with MC. I think that is a great deal. And I highly reccomend Get In Tune. Check out their website, it is under wedding services also.

I am using Let Us Entertain You and are payong $1400. I get 5 hours of music (I do not need them to pay for the cocktail hour, just the reception), MC, DJ, lights, giveaways, bubble machine and costumes for my guests to put on during the playing of certain songs.

It does not matter who you speak to, every DJ can create a package for you with what you want and in your price range.

We are using DJ Unlimited from Floral Park. We are getting only the DJ, who will make minimal announcements, for 4 hour reception plus one hour cocktail hour. It will cost $850.

We weren't interested in someone talking all night and chasing the guests around. Also we are having an afternoon wedding, so I believe in the less is more philosophy.

We are using Fantasia DJs- and it is less than $1000 as well. We do not wants lights, smoke, giveaways etc.

I used QT Productions...prices were very reasonable. I paid about $900 (I think) for cocktail hour music, 4 1/2 hours reception, DJ with MC, and basic lighting. We didn't want any give-aways. Our MC was Mike and he was awesome- I got him thru this website actually.

I paid $1000 for 5 hours. I went with High Energy, they came highly recommended. They were great. The are located in Ronkonkoma, NY

This included 150 give aways, 4 hour recpetion, 1 hour cocktail, dj and mc

We are paying $900 for a 1 hour cocktail and 4 hour reception...includes DJ and Emcee - no smoke, giveaways, props, etc.....we are using Touch of Class.

we just booked chris from long island sound. he prices are reasonable. We got dj/mc reception plus coctail hour and light show for $1600
