Hello, Was hoping you guys could help. I am going to meet with a DJ this weekend, and I just wanted to get a ballpark figure of what D.J's usually charge, so we know what to expect. Thanks for your help.

Re: D.J. Pricing
My dj is great--very affordable. I am getting a dj, mc, two plasmas, a photo montage, music videos, give-aways and some other stuff I think for about $2,500. We lucked out because my cousin is friends with the owner, but you have to shop around. My dj will work with everyone's budget. Let me know if you're interested.

Re: D.J. Pricing
We had a DJ/MC, intelligent light package, cocktail hour music, and a plasma screen for a photo montage our friend made all for $1000. We used high energy entertainment and loved him. He's a vendor on here and his website has all the prices.

Re: D.J. Pricing
It totally depends on what you want. I've seen basic packages for just DJ & MC from anywhere from $600-1800 depending on the company. Add on the extras (live musician like percussionist) for anywhere from $500 to $700 per instrument. Then if you want plasmas, we got quoted anywhere from $800 additional to $1500 additional (that $1500 was ridiculous though!). Intelligent lighting can be an additional $400-800. Then there's giveaways if you want (sometimes they'll throw this in) and the Gobo (your monogram in lights to be displayed on the floor or wall).
So if you wanted DJ, MC, Intelligent Lights, Plasmas, Giveaways, Percussionist and Gobo it should be somewhere around $3000.
