Re: DJ pricing
This is a very good question! I'd love to hear some quotes as well, it's our last major vendor to book!

Re: DJ pricing
The plasmas are going to run you about 1000-1500. The basic package Dj/MC is about 1200-1700...those were prices we got Basic lighting (not included with package) 600-1000

Re: DJ pricing
we booked nov/dec 2006 so don't know about price increases since then but back then FM entertainment and High Voltage did 1 man dj for about $800 for 4 hr receptn. CH was additional. we used high voltage and got xtra lighting for maybe another $150 and I think FM prices were similar. Both places had good reviews.

Re: DJ pricing
plasmas we got were 650 for one and additional 300 per screen...so 950 for both includes cd with all zap shots taken.
basic dj/mc i have seen from 1095 - 1300'ish.
lighting can be all over the place from 200 to like 1000, depending on package
FM ent has good pricing, he was really nice. we ended up going with LI Sound though

Re: DJ pricing
i only started looking around but most places quoted me around 1500-1800 for mc/dj and some band pieces like steel drums, singer and percussionist. no lights my wedding is during the day
ps. i called Tommy Tunes and FM so far and got right around the same quotes from them but i still have to meet with them to get it more exact $300 is a big guesstimate difference to me

Tommy's Tunes is $1975 for the ceremony, CH, and 4 hr. reception.
Does anyone know why they are more expensive than others?

Re: DJ pricing
they have a good reputation, maybe better equpiment...more knowledgeable staff?
i met with them and got a great feeling with them...i met with a different dj and was on teh fence. i think all the vendors follow that rule of when you know..you know! a good company will give you that feeling

Re: DJ pricing
I booked with Body Rock. It's from 7-1, so 6 hours rather than 4, dj, mc, 2 plasmas, the dvd with the photos shown on the plasmas set to music, and a lighting package. $3700.

Re: DJ pricing
High Energy Entertainment with Ralph: Keyboardist for Cocktail Hour DJ MC 4 hours of music 100 Giveaways 2 Plasma Screens for Photo Montage and with another guy taking Zap Shots all night Under $2K I was nervous about them setting up in time, he said he has another 3 guys helping to set up. They are a vendor on this site...he did my sister's wedding 10 years ago! Just to give you an idea of how long they have been in business.
They do offer percussionist if you like.
GOOD LUCK!

I'm paying $1500 for 4 hours of music during the reception. This includes basic lighting.

Re: DJ pricing
We're having a one man dj/mc with no add-ons for just about $900 - this was with the additional cost of an extra 1/2 hour on top of the 4 hour reception price

Re: DJ pricing
I met with a very well known DJ on here and with MC/DJ, lighting, percussion, and sax it was about $5200. I thought it was a bit much.
