DJ Question

DJ Question

Besides the traditional dances, are you dictating your entire song play list for the night, or just picking a couple of songs and letting the DJ play what he wants. I thought we would pick like 2-3 songs that we wanted to here and have the DJ play what he wants, but i keep thinking of songs i want to here and my list is so long that i think i planned like more than half of the wedding music so far. Is this giving the Dj more work, because i feel bad, our DJ is best friends with FHs brother in law, and he gave us our package for 1/3 of his regular prices, so im not sure if i should give him more to do?

Re: DJ Question

Special dances, a few must hear songs, the do not play list and the rest is up to the DJ. It's their job to make sure the crowd is up and shaking and my taste won't necessarily translate to the guests tastes...besides, that's what we're paying the DJ for.

Re: DJ Question

I think you should be as specific as possible about what you want...... I plan on giving a list of songs we want played.....Maybe you can narrow your list down to songs you DEF want played and then type of music... hope this helped!

We just booked our DJ the other day and we were asking him this question...he said to bring defininte songs that we want played but not a list of 15 pages of must play songs. I have more songs that I don't want played that I will be giving him

Re: DJ Question

We sent two CDs to our DJ with almost all of our must-have songs. The first CD has all of the event songs (like bride & dad). The second CD has other songs we really, really want to hear.

We gave him a list of the must have songs and then Im letting him wing it. I have gone to weddings with him being a DJ and I have no worries, for that at least
