Im looking to book a DJ but have no idea how much they start at. If anyone has any quotes to FM me I'd appreciate it.
For your basic 4-hour package, most big companies will charge you about $1000. I was able to find a young kid who's trying to get his name out there as a DJ who was willing to do it for me for $600, but of course you want to be careful if you aren't going with someone you know.
A big name on Long Island will definitely start no lower than $1000. We have ours playing light music for cocktail hour, a 5 hour reception (full Vienese hour) added on zap-its and a percussionist that we were able to talk down to $3100.

We used FM Entertainment and Frank was great! We had the DJ for 4 hours, name in lights, lit dj booth, and 4 truss lights for under 1500.

We didn't realize when we extended our reception for the Viennese hour that everything else is extended too, including DJ. Ugh, keep that in mind!

Frank and FM are great. I would definitely give them a call. We got a great price with 5 hours, name in lights and up-lighting!
