DJ's

Hi i am still in the beginning stages of planning, what is the going rate for dj's and anyone have any recommendations? We have someone in mind but not sure if thery are still djing. Its not a big company its two guys who do it for extra money.

I'm not sure about prices, but here are a few who are big on this site:

Spin Around Sound
Get In Tune
Body Rock
Stan Wiest Orchestras (you can contact him on the vendors board)

There is more, I can't seem to think

We had a dj at my rehearsal dinner. We used Europa Sounds. They were very good. I know they do weddings but I only had a band at mine and I'm not sure what their format is. The contact is Steve and he can be reached at 516-790-5909.

We are using Get In Tune DJs Speak with glen he is a sweet heart and very reasonably priced.

We are using Music by Michael. Michael is not a very traditional and not a very big entertainment company. he is very good and personable and i think very reasonable! you can check his website and prices out on this site.

We are using Let Us Entertain You. They were recommended by a friend who used them, her sister used them and her brother used them. Also, ChippaTriD's mom is very good friends with Bill (the owner and MC) and she was going to use them but can't because I am using them. We are getting married on the same day. Check out 'Feel the Vibe Entertainment' (516)384-3764. The owners are formerly of Body Rock and they are fantastic. I think their packages start at $1000 and can go up to $4000 depending on what you want. We booked them for our wedding!
