DJ's and MC's- what did you end up doing?
So I have been starting my search for music for my wedding. I know that some companies have two people sent to a wedding, a DJ and an MC and that some companies have just one person who is a DJ/MC. Which option is better? Let me know your experience having one person be both DJ and MC or two people with one being a DJ and one an MC.

We went with a two-man team. I feel a lot better about having one person soley focused on the music and one person focused on announcements, introductions, speeches, etc. All the DJs we met with said that the MC is more than just someone pushing people to dance.. They have an important job in making sure the right people are ready for speeches, dances, that the groom has his jacket on for cake cutting or the mother son dance.. Little details like that, the MC should be ontop of, which he can't be (to me) if he's behind the DJ booth at the same time making sure the right music is playing.

I think it's your personal opinion. I don't like MC's, I find them to be rather annoying so we are only doing a DJ!Check out beyond the mix :)

DJ's and MC's- what did you end up doing?
I don't like MCs, so I'm only doing a DJ, my co-worker who does DJing on the side. My FFIL used to be in a wedding band for over 20 years and he said all you need is a DJ to play some good music and that's it.The DJ can announce when all the meals are coming, cake, yada. I do have my BFF announcing everyone in the wedding party and our entrance.
