Re: DJ showcases
Im using Tommy Tunes, they are just awesome!
I've seen them at weddings before, and pretty much every showcase i've been to.
There are ALOT of good vendor DJ's on this website, i know FM is great also, so i would look around and meet w/ the djs and see their work and whats also in your budget!

Re: DJ showcases
Im using FM Entertainment. The showcases are like everyone is at a table with the paperwork & then they give you a sampling of what they do. But when the music starts you feel like you want to dance. lol As for pricign it all depends on lighting & what other features you want. I found FM to have really great prices! Good Luck.

Re: DJ showcases
FM entertainment is great!!!! I went to a showcase but, FH and I were the only ones there so it ended up being private. He just showed us what they do and played some music and explained certain things.

Thanks girls!! I'm really interested in FM Ent. I think I'll call them up for a showcase. I'm pretty sure their on Mondays, which means FH will have to take off from work because he works nites..that's whats been holding us up!!! But we'll see!!!

Re: DJ showcases
I have been to them and they get the crowd up and dancing and they choose a couple to have a first dance and do giveaways so you basically see how they would act in your wedding. they are fun

I know of one time where they told me they were having something on a saturday... so just ask em what they have coming up! Tell them your situation. Im sure they will do their best to accomodate you

Re: DJ showcases
The only DJ showcases where I have been to where people actually got up and danced were Tommy Tunes and Starlight Express. Every other one I've been to was pretty much standard. They play a few typical songs, show their lighting and try to get you to sign a contract on the spot.

Re: DJ showcases
I went to a showcase at East Wind last fall (unsure of the company) but the DJ / MC had the crowd doing some of the dances most of you don't even want played (ie cha cha slide).
I am booked with LI Sound. As far as prices go, it all depends on what you want. We're not using the Zap Shots / tvs but we are getting a jazz quartet for the CH.
