I booked a DJ that comes recommended on this site and put down small deposit. I liked them a lot. However I just went to a wedding that had another highly recommended DJ company and they were excellent. I am thinking of cancelling my first DJ even though I have heard nothing but good things about them. The reason is because I have never seen the first DJ in action. I have seen the second DJ and they are fantastic so I have very little doubt of it going well. However, the second DJ is about 2.5 times as much money. What do you think?

Re: DJ situation
Check the 1st DJs website and see if they're having a showcase anytime soon. Then go down and check them out, it's the only way to see them in action. The 2nd DJ seems like a lot more money, so you really need to see if there's any difference in quality and if so, if it's worth it to pay so much more. HTH!!

Re: DJ situation
If your 1st DJ is getting such good reviews, why would you change. You can't see everyone in action before your wedding, but that does not mean they will do a bad job. FM someone who used them, and ask them what they thought.

Well if you have the money and would feel more comfortable hiring the other company then go ahead. On the other side, if you don't I would see (like one of the brides said) if they have a showcase or a video of a wedding that they have performed at. Good luck finding the right DJ.

Re: DJ situation
if you do not mind me asking, what dj's are you talking about? And i think you should go with your gut on this one...music can make or break your party! If you liked the first one, why not stay with them. More money does not mean better quality! Good luck!
