Are you girls giving your dj a detailed song list for the music you want to be played? I was just thinking of giving him some songs I want to be played but trusting that they will play great music.
Just wondering what everyone is doing about that :)

We definitely gave him a small must play list of songs we had to have, but other than that we just let him do his thing

Ditto. We plan on doing the same. We will have a short list of stuff we'd like to hear but for the most part I will tell him to play whatever people seem to like.

We gave a very specific must play list of about 20 songs and then a shorter list of about 10 do not play songs. And then we went through a list they gave us of genres and highlighted what we liked and crossed off what what we didn't want. At our final meeting our DJ actually commented on how specific our list was, but they followed it, and as a result my husband and I were on the dance floor the entire time!
