I just went to see my first DJ, Body Rock. They basically told me that I can provide a play list, but that they were going to play what they were going to play by feeling out the crowd. This is not what I want.....
Anyone have a good experience with a DJ who played all of your requested songs?

We went with High Voltage Sounds becasue he said 'I'll play whatever you want.' Plus, the prices are fantastic.

We used Bill & Frank from Let Us Entertain You and they played everything that I asked them too.

I highly recommend Music by Michael.
He even has a web-based organizer where you can request songs and add to your play list
I second Vinny from High Voltage...Every question I asked, he answered me with 'Its your wedding, whatever you want'. That is why we love him so much!!!

In The Mix, plays what YOU want. You give them a list and they will play it, but don't go crazy with 200 songs. A lot of companies say, yeah give me a list and then just toss it to the side.

We loved Vinny!!! He did an amazing job at our wedding.

You may want the DJ to play 'what you want' but keep in mind they are the professionals and you want your crowd to dance and have a good time. They know what that is. If you put your list together and it's stuff only you want to hear it may not be what your crowd wants to hear. Just something to think about.

i'm using body rock and i have a nice sized music list. they just want to make sure that the music they play is what keeps all of the people dancing (not just what the bride and groom likes.)

Music by Michael!!!! But, you have to remember that if they are planning a song you may have requested, and no one is dancing, they may change the song.
