I am thinking about booking either Tommy’s tunes or Long Island Sound as my DJ, but I am having a hard time deciding between the two. Do people recommend one over the other? Has anyone had them and can tell me if they like them? Thanks a lot!!

I have been to 2 wedding recently with Tommy's Tunes as the DJ - I had heard so much about them so I was excited to see them at a wedding. I have to say that I was not too impressed. Both times they were OK, but nothing great. I met with Long Island Sound and was very impressed with them. We wound up going with another DJ (someone we know personally) but if I hadn't done that , then I would have went with Long Island Sound.

We went with LIS. We have seen them at many events and they were great. They did my cousins wedding and it was the best wedding i've ever been to (so far). Chirs the MC is awsome ( he will be at our wedding) and Sal the DJ is great although he wont be at ours he really knows what he's doing I highly recomend them.

My friend had Tommy Tunes at his wedding, and they were AWEFUL! (nobody danced all night!!!)
I think it depends on what you (bride/groom) choose for the types of music to be played.
Personally for our wedding, we went with Get In Tune! They played exactly what we wanted, we had a FULL dance floor all night, and they were WONDERFUL!

We're using LI Sound for our NYC wedding...we saw them at a friends wedding years ago and they were amazing. We're having the live percussionist and live saxophone player - Chris will be our MC and Sal will be our DJ.

I have been to 2 weddings with TT and a friend used to work for them and they are AMAZING and I booked them for my wedding. They also do my companies holiday party every year. I recommend Joe E or Mike, both are brilliant. During Pasta, Salad and Dinner we booked Jerry to sing all Frank Sinatra songs, he sounds just like him and both weddings we went used him and it's such a great surprise to the guests! Good Luck!

As soon as I got engaged, FH and I knew that Tommys Tunes was going to be one of the first vendors we booked. I have seen them at SOOO many weddings and absolutely love them. If you are going to book them, ask for Joe E. He's the best they have!!

i met with LI Sound - i wasn't impressed with them.
I went to a wedding and they used Tommy's tunes. They were very good!

Does anyone know or has been to a wedding where Mike from LIS worked? We loved LIS and have booked them...I hear a lot about Chris...Either way I know they'll be great...first impressions matter and we loved them off the bat.

I booked Chris and Sal from LIS and they were amazing. All the guests thought they were great. I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

My friend Meredith got married last May and has LIS at her wedding. I thought they were pretty awesome. I heard mixed feelings about TT though. Another DJ I liked (they did my cousins wedding in January) was Body Rock Entertainment....Loved them but they are a little on the pricey side for me
