I'm really 2nd guessing myself on the DJ that we chose...Little things that have happened so far (well actually a big thing) is making me re-think my decision and after searching their name on the boards Ive seen a few reviews that scare me....My wedding is in 4 months, we did a pretty big package of stuff and got a great price (before the incident happenes), I've only left 400 in a deposit so far so..... Do I take the loss and try and find another, or do I cross my fingers and pray for the best?
Ive seen some other 11'ers are booked with them too and rave but im worried.

I think we got excited over the price and all the hype talk he gave us that we rushed into it.

i would say go with your gut but at the same time i am a hypocrite bc i am second guessing my DJ too and FH said to get over it

Don't worry about the reviews you read. Honestly, you can't go by them. I'm regreting basing some of my vendors off of 'good' reviews from here since they've showed such poor quality. People rave about things or b*itch about them but you gotta go with ur gut feeling.

Every vendor is going to have good and bad reviews!! I would say go with your gut and talk it over with FH. You both have to ultimately be happy with your choice!! Good Luck!

My FH is pissed!! but its me thats being frugal when it comes to the money... 1.) I dont want to lose my deposit 2.) I dont know if another DJ can give me what I want within my price or even have my day open now that its 4 months away
but im also freaked about getting screwed the day of

I just looked to see who you were booked with.
That's who we had for our wedding and we were THRILLED with them! Where did you see bad reviews? I didn't see any?
Anyway, they did a FANTASTIC job at our wedding. The music was what we asked for. people were up dancing all night. I wouldn't worry AT ALL.
Just be sure to give him a do not play list and a must play list and you will be fine. He had our lists and played every must play and changed it around a bit to fit the mood of the crowd. PERFECT!!

I am feeling the same way about our videographers. I have heard some great reviews but no bad. But then again nobody really uses who I booked. I booked on the spot bc of prices and their presentation, but I tried emailing them and no responce. Ack. Idk what to do either :( But with DJ I'm sure you'll be fine :)

if you want FM what your looking for and a price, my DJ is insanely good but is not a 'popular vendor' on LIW...
