DJ vs DJ/MC?

DJ vs DJ/MC?

Do you think you need both a MC and a DJ? If you had just one, did you think you needed two? Out guest list is likely 140-150. Also thought on additional people as well? Suggestions on certain DJs would be great too! Thanks!

I'm doing a one man DJ/MC and we will be having a precussionist.

You should definately look into FM Entertainment. Frank is awesome and their pricing is very reasonable. Good luck!

we just had 1 DJ.
we originally wanted to have an MC as well.. but glad we didnt... totally didnt need one!! if you have fun people and know the dance floor will be full then no need for one!!

We are only having the DJ.. i guess it all depends on the size of your guest lists and what type of people your guests are, for example my guests like to party and dance so they don need someone to be pushing them out to the dance floor.

We're using Tommy's Tunes (vendor on here) and having a DJ, MC and a dinner singer. Tommy's Tunes was recommended to me by a few friends that used them and loved them.
I think it depends on your budget. I don't think an MC or a singer is absolutely necessary but we definitely think it will add to the party atmosphere!!!

DJ and MC I think that having two people they will feed off eachother's energy and get the crowd going.

We had a DJ & MC and our MC was great. We didn't want that cheesy type trying to get people up and dancing. And he was so not cheesy. He had people going all night just by being up there and letting people sing and showing the dances to the people that didn;t know them. I so vote for DJ/MC!!!

every wedding out of NY that I have ever been to has been just a DJ. And they make general announcements and all that stuff and it has been fine. I do, however, like the MC thing as long as they keep it toned down. I think either way u will be fine!
