DJ with live percussionist

I was thinking of having a live percussion with my DJ, has anyone heard one, any ideas or thoughts?

I saw a couple of perfomances done at showcases. Although it was a nice touch, I didnt really see the necessity of it. But its all a matter of preferences!

This is just my personal opinion, and please don't take offense, but I have seen this and do not think it sounds or looks good. I think that it looks like you didn't want to spend the money for a band. That is just my opinion and that is why I would not hire someone to do this.

i went to a wedding where this was done and i think it was some sort of bongo player. i really did not like it at all it was the same beat to every song it was not good. i wouldnt do this.

I saw Body Rock at a showcase and they did this. It's too club-ish for my guests.

I am getting that as a surprise for my FH!!! I got it through Absolute Entertainment (We are using them as our DJS too.) They are great and it really wasn't that much money. I think $500 extra.....
I know the guests are going to love it..

I did it at my wedding and she was great. I really got her to play the steel drums for the cocktail hour but they gave me a good price for her to stay as a percussionist at the reception.
