DJ/Band Mix

DJ/Band Mix

Hi Everyone-
I'm wondering if anyone has advise on DJ vs. Band? Also, what is the range for DJs and bands?

I was reccomended to a group that is a blend (has both the DJ and live music) - The 747s Music Entertainment. If anyone knows of them can you give feedback?

It depends on your preference! I much rather have a DJ bc I don't like when some songs sound different... plus I will want new and current music playing. Some bands may not learn everyhting immediately.
Some DJ companies like Genesis Events can add a percussionist, saxophonist, singers, etc

I personally prefer DJ over a band. There's more of a variety in music and a DJ almost always takes requests. If the band doesn't know the song, you're out of luck.

I recommend Absolute Entertainment. They're an awesome DJ company who also has a variety of live music acts that you can use to enhance the DJ. I believe they have a percussionist, a saxophonist, a singer, etc. I saw them at a few shows and they were great. Hope this helps! Good luck with your planning

I love the mix!! Check out Fusion DL they are awesome, they take the live parts out of the actual song so it's not like they're just playing over the track (if that makes sense), and they only play what's actually in the original song so no adding trumpets to a Guns n Roses song or anything that would make it sound cheesy

Manny & John of Fusion DL did our wedding at OFC last Sept. The only problem we had was that from the time people walked in to the reception they wouldn't stop dancing & the waiters couldn't take anyone's orders! Not much of a problem :) They were truly wonderful! We used them for our ceremony, cocktail & reception. Can't say enough about them!
