Any suggestions for great bands or DJ? My MAJOR concern is that I am a HUGE dance/vocal house music fan(Amber, Reina, Whitney, Deborah Cox) and it's important to me that if I book a band they will be able to sing songs that you hear in the clubs as well as the typical wedding songs.
Any suggestions?????????
If not a band then how about a CLASSY dj - no handing out hats/sunglasses, NO GROUP DANCES like the Macarena or Electric Slide!!!!!!

They will be less then a band. I think I am paying around $2600. with lighting and an MC and DJ.

We used Spin Around Sound DJ and they were AMAZING. Seriously, I could not sing their praises high enough. We requested probably about 25 songs beyond the first dance, cake cutting song, etc. and they played almost every single one, plus a lot of other stuff that went well with what we had requested. We had asked to hear some pretty obscure songs and they were able to find them for us. Tom, who is one of the co-owners and was our MC, was amazing to work with, so friendly and helpful with the music selection. HTH
ETA: They will NOT do any group line dances or throwaways unless you specifically request them.
