DJ/Band suggestions?

One of my friends said he was going to get me a Dj (he works in club promotions, etc. and said he knew some DJs that were available)

Anyway... I spoke to him this weekend and he said he could not get anyone!!!!

Does anyone have good recommendations? Or is a band better?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

band gives a diff feel than a DJ would ... but some people don't like it ... and it's also a lot more expensive.

we went with Variety Music and really liked them. They also have a lot of live element choices that you can choose from (sinatra singer, percussionist, steel drum band, etc)
