Ok, now I am on to my next vendor...DJ's.

Any reccomendations/price quotes? Questions to ask when you go for a meeting?

what kind of package you looking for? does your hall recommend any djs?
we started with our halls recommended vendors...their meals are so much cheaper to pay for lol

these are the questions i asked

1. What types of events do you usually play?

2. How long have you played music/been in business?

3. Do you have a set of songs to choose from?

4. Are you opposed to us customizing our wedding day playlist? Can we give you special music we want played? What format must it be?

5. Have you played at RH?


6. What type of equipment do you use? Do you need a special set up


7. Do you have emergency equipment?

8. Do you have any special lighting?


9. How do you charge? What are your packages and add-ons? What is your payment schedule

10. How soon before the reception do you arrive?

11. Who will be the DJ? Who will be the MC?

12. If they are ill who will their places?


13. How do you schedule breaks? (How many, how often?)

14. What will you wear?


15. Will you supply give-a-ways?

my hall doesnt have any house vendors, only reccomendations...so i get no deal on their meals or anything...

We are looking for a basic music package, 2 man dj crew, no giveaways...uplighting, zap shots and 2 plasma screens. Shawns uncle is going to do our video montage editing for us...We also want a piano player but i dont think the DJ can help us with that

Im using Mike Nappi from Music Flex...he does work for Russos on the Bay. He is not that popular here on the boards but he was affordable...fm me if you want more details

Well we are getting a DJ/MC basic lighting and percussionist and CH music for $1675

I know my DJ was running a special if you book unitl the end of Jan

usually his plasmas with the zapshots are 1500 he says i can have them for 900

Yeah Colleen and I met with them at a bridal showcase out there in Bohemia at a hotel... They seemed to all be nice guys as well... I would love to try and have a meeting with them, just have to decide when its a good idea to take the long ride out there...

I can FM you the pricelist for Bravura, they do have a piano player and all the other stuff you want.

** they WILL negotiate price, but aren't the least expensive. ** I paid about what Jackie did... we didn't get the plasma screens, but I did get the piano player, and the uplighting was included.
