Really? We love it there. We went in February a couple of years ago (pre-baby). All Jonn talks about is going back.

Key West is very nice and fun to go to. My family is spread all over the keys. My dad had a house (pre-divorce) on Duck Key. We went there 2x a year. I HATED IT! There was nothing there for a teenager to do, m=no mall no movie theater NOTHING...

She says it is an up and coming place to live. A lot of building and expanding. So it is good for jobs and houses...etc.
SHe is always trying to get me to move. I thought about it for a while but i can't leave my family

Duck key is one of the middle ones. If you flew into the airport on the keys (marathon airport) it is about 10 minutes away.

No, it is possible to get houses that cheap here (I'm in Maine, remember?! LOL). You just really need to look!
On LI, forget it! We grabbed some of those real estate guides when we were down last time and I just about croaked. There were houses for $300,000+ that would cost about $80,000 up here. They looked like shacks!

I know it is sooo depressing here trying to get a house. We are lucky that we have the money we get from our condo to put towards a house...otherwise we would be nowhere!

Oh okay....I don't remember it. I was pretty drunk when we drove through the keys (NO I wasn't the one driving!!!! )
We drove from Tampa to Miami, stayed in a hotel, and then drove to Key west the next day.

Duck Key is very nice but i guess i am sooo done with FLorida...I hate going there and hopefully will never go back. Except to maybe Key West and Orlando (only because i plan to have a kid on day)

Do you own a condo that you rent out? Sorry if you've mentioned it before, I must of forgot!
I'm thankful I live in a state where property isn't yet through the roof. It's getting pretty bad though. It's kind of scary to think how much houses will cost when we're ready to buy.

No we live in our condo. We thought about moving to my dads for a year and renting this place out to save more money but i never trust renting....
So i think in about 1-2 years we will start really looking and hopefully prices will be better
