do all groomsmen have to walk down aisle

We do not have an even number of GM and BM. We have decided that we just want certain people in our wedding and we will not ask more girls to be BMs just to even out the number. It is already a very big wedding party.

2 of the groomsmen are actually friends of mine that I wanted to have included. Can I leave those 2 out of walking down the aisle? Would it be weird? I was thinking I could have them give out programs or something. I don't want them to show people to their seats because that is just too old fashoined of a concept for me!

I was also thinking that with such a big wedding party, the processional will be so long!!! So having less people to walk is a time saver!

We have an uneven bridal party too. I have one extra GM so we are having two GM walk with one of the BMs. HTH!!!

Dh only had 2 (BM and 1 GM) they didn't even walk down with my MOH and BM, I wanted them to walk alone. They walked up the aisle together but there was an even amount of girls for boys so it wasn't a problem. You could double up if it's uneven, I've seen it done.
