Some family friends go to Battle Row in Bethpage - they have campers & fifth wheels so I don't know if they have tent camping (or how you guys are camping).

I usually go upstate.. North/South Lake in Haines Falls.. it's in the Catskills.. it's one of my favorite place.. great hiking and the trails lead to the most amazing view..
I've also stayed at a few places in CT..
I'm more of a mountain camper then a LI camper..

We just went for Memorial Day weekend. We went to Landers Campgrounds in Pennsylvania. I got so sunburned but it was a whole lot of fun!!!!

We camp, but in NJ..is that too far from you? Stokes State Forest is great, they have a lake, nice grounds, theres some great places..let me know if NJ is too far..I can tell ya about lots of places in NJ !!

We used to do to ditch plains n Montauk...or maybe it was hither hills....i don't remember which, they are right next to each ther. also, Nassau Beach in Long Beach, next to the Sands.

I like to drive a bit, so we aren't campaign in our backyard.
We go to this state park with a long name- I think it goes by Mills-Norrie state park. It is near Rhinebeck.

FH proposed last Labor Day at Ward Pund Ridge. We live in White Plains and it's about a 30 minute drive from here. If you're interested, you should try to get a lean-to instead of a tent site. They offer a lot more privacy.

Actually I prefer to go upstate and out of state so nj is good.

we camp there..its beautiful there..and there is a beautiful waterfall there with a nice hike up to it..caatiskill falls i believe its called..

My idea of roughing it is a Hilton.... my friend however goes camping with her husband in VT every summer.
We go to a place called Red Barn Campground in Hankins, NY. It is mainly RVs there but there is a tent section too. It is pretty far but the tent area is literally on a beach area on the Delaware River.
