Do any of you know about these florists?

1) A & S Whitestone
2) United Floral Co.

I live in Queens and these two florists were recommended by my hall (Leonards).

I tried contacting other florists listed here in LIW, but most were unavailable for my date.

Im using National Floral, Im not sure if theyre the same. If they are they seem to be the cheapest around and are very easy to work with.. so far :)

I've never heard of them. Do you think they would travel to Queens for my ceremony? If so, FM me their info.

Im also using national floral they are in bellmore, seem to be very good and the best price.

Does anyone know about A&S Whitestone or United Floral?

They're recommended by my hall and I have an appointment with United Floral in Great Neck, but I don't know what to expect with either of them.

Don't know about those florists sorry. My florist is Flowers by Emil (Carmine). He's a vendor on here and he is great! He travels to Queens.

I'm also using National Floral - very easy to work with so far and the BEST price... they are willing to travel to the North Fork so I'm sure they wouldn't be opposed to traveling to Queens.

im using national florist too. My church and my mom are in queens and they are delivering there. Also have to agree their prices are EXCELLENT. You should check them out.

I am also using National Wholesale Florist in Bellmore and I know for a fact that they travel to Queens as my ceremony is in Queens. I also know about A&S as I received a quote from them. National beat their price and offered me so much more.. Check them out. I was considering A&S before I checked out National..Hope you find a florist soon..Keep us posted.

BTW we are Hall twins..

I don't know about A&S but I did with meet with United. He had some nice ideas and definitely did some different more modern things but his prices were too high. We actually looked for a way to fit them into the budget because FI liked them so much BUT a week after we met with them someone from the store called us about our final payment. I tried to explain that our wedding wasn't for another year and the lady started yelling at us that we needed to get in there that day with a check and needed to give them our final design decisions....we ended up with someone else... I will say they do creative work...I spent 30 min. convincing FI we weren't paying $350 for black goldfish in bowls with roses

I'm pretty sure that most florists from Nassau will travel to Queens for a ceremony, so don't think that you absolutely have to go with one of those florists. I've never heard anything about either one...you might want to broaden your search. Just a thought

I totally agree. Carmine is so wonderful to work with.

I didn't use United Florist but when I was looking they were recommend to me by DH's boss. He used them all the time for weddings, and I think it is his 'local' florist.

I didn't see them, but he was very happy with them. It can't hurt to get some prices and see some pics of some of their work.

Cubanbride used A&S Whitestone for her wedding, try FMing her, she posted a few pics on the 05 board you can see her bo-k and it looks very pretty!

You should also check out Designs by Rose. She's in Howard Beach, does beautiful work and is totally reasonable price-wise.

I have an appointment with United Floral on 5/21. I will see what they have to offer.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will contact some other people and hopefully I will have a florist by the end of the month.
