Do any of your friends have fresh kids?

One of my friends doesn't discipline her children and it shows.(I mean if he does something wrong, she doesn't correct him and explain to him what he did or punish him when he is bad in any way whether it be no tv that night or to go to his room.) The older one who is about 9 is so fresh. I stopped by her house before and he threw a snowball right by me.
I told him that if he hits me, I will hit him back with one. He is always talking back to people and she doesn't say anything. I said something to her last time he said something very rude and she dismissed it and made excuses for him. Its very sad because its been taking its toll on our friendship because I hardly see her because I can't stand the older kid's behavior.

I had a similar problem with a very close friend. It got to the point we couldn't invite them over because she would never discipline her kids, and they would be in everything. I even told her that I couldn't babysitt for her anymore since her kids won't listen to me.

We;ve learned to be very selective as to where we go to eat with them.

Whenever we can have a conversation(w/o the kids WHINING, yelling or crying) we try to bring up how we would be very strict when we have kids. We would never let them talk back to, say NO, and be disrepectful to anyone. I think after 6 times of bringing it up she got the point. No she disciplines them when they when they start up.
