Ok, I need advise, and this is my first time on here, but the site came highly recommended...... My girls will be wearing 3/4 length skirts, and therefore their feet will show..... They are ALL different sizes & shapes, so although their skirts are the same.... tops are all different to their taste.... SHOULD THEY WEAR THE SAME SHOES???
I just can't decide. i mean, on the one hand.... i feel like who cares, who the heck is looking at their feet... and on the other, my cousin told me she's seen the multi-shoe collection on bridemaids in shorter dresses & that it looks horrible in pictures.
I just dont' know what to do. Any advise??

I personally wouldn't mind-but I would have the girls try on differesnt styles and see if you prefer them in all one style. I have never seen this so I can't comment about how it looks.

if you dont have them all wear the same shoe i would keep it the same kinda style in my opinon..meaning if one wears a flip flop looking it all has to be flip flop looking...one open toe all open toe...i think it would look weird if someone had a flip flop looking shoe and another girl had a high heel

I don't think you have to, I'd specify a color and have them pick their own shoe. We did that in a friends wedding and the pics looked nice.

An unhappy BM is an unhappy bridesmaid..... let them pick out what they want to wear on their feet. They will be the ones wearing them for most of the day.

my BMs all settled on one shoe, which was nice....but i think it would be fine if you gave them a style (open toed, sandal, pump etc) and color, like ive seen BMs in all different silver sandals and it looked fine.

I think I'm going to just ask my girls to get silver shoes. I never use any of the dyeable shoes that I've worn in other weddings, even after I dye them black. I think that noone notices what the bridesmaids wear on their feet.

no, my girls wore all different shoes and they had tea length dresses. they decided amongst themselves to wear the same color shoes, but I wouldn't have cared if they didnt.

NO! my sister did that and it was horrible!!
I do although think they should all wear open toe or all closed! Same w/ color...this way it doesnt throw off pics! That part should be your choice and then have the girls pick out what they want from there! Hey you let them get a top that went w. their own personal style...i say let them do it w. their shoes too!!

My BMs wore short dresses. I let them wear any kind of sandal that they wanted and they all dyed them to match the dress. I think its nice that they can show a little of their own personality and wear what's most comfortable for them. As long as they're the same type of shoe (sandle vs. closed toe) and the same color, I think its fine!

I didn't care about mine. My best friend only suggested we get either silver or gold for her wedding. If anything, maybe at least suggest a color.

My Bridesmaid wore tea length dresses and I let them pick their own shoes. I only requested that the shoe be a open toe silver sandal.
It looked fine. I did not get any comments about the different shoes. I don't think anyone noticed.
And, the BM's appreciated the fact that they got the wear a shoe that they liked and that they were comfortable in.

I am someone who has a difficult time finding shoes that fit and are comfortable...I would prefer if I got to choose my own shoes, maybe with a certain style in mind

Sure- this isn't the best pic, but it does show everyone's shoes.
My MOH wore silver, the other girls wore pink, you can't even tell the difference.
