Do Bridesmaids need to wear the same shoes??

Original post by ecndv

Ok, I need advise, and this is my first time on here, but the site came highly recommended......
My girls will be wearing 3/4 length skirts, and therefore their feet will show..... They are ALL different sizes & shapes, so although their skirts are the same.... tops are all different to their taste.... SHOULD THEY WEAR THE SAME SHOES???

I just can't decide. i mean, on the one hand.... i feel like who cares, who the heck is looking at their feet... and on the other, my cousin told me she's seen the multi-shoe collection on bridemaids in shorter dresses & that it looks horrible in pictures.

I just dont' know what to do. Any advise??

i think this i where i become a bridezilla - if my dressed were short i would definitely ask the girls to wear the same shoes - im slightly OCD.

I was even thinking of asking the girls to all get their hair completely up (they can do whatever style, but it has to be up) im probably crazy but thats just me

Yes... if u are wearing the same dress- then u should wear the same shoes... hair is optional for me.

For my sister's wedding we all wore different shoes with our tea-length dresses and it looked fine. Chcek out her wedding album-jeanla4c for pics.

I have to say, I am advising my girls that they can wear whatever shoes they want b/c they are all wearing long dresses.

If they were wearing tea length dresses, I would ask them to please all get the same style shoe, whether they are all open toe or all closed toe shoes. The reason why I say this is b/c you will see their shoes.

I personally don't care if my BM's wear different shoes. I am asking them to spend enough on the dress!

I just told mine to go with all open toed or sandals - died to match shoes... they don't have to be the same. But it's up to you!

I don't mind my girls wearing diff. shoes, however, the dresses are floor length. If I had my Bparty wearing tea-length, I think I would have them wear the same shoe, if not as similiar as possible!

I don't think I will request it of my girls...hair and shoes are up to them, I just want them to be the same color.

I am having tea-length dresses and I am not having my girls wear the same shoes. I really could care less. However, I just asked that they be white shoes.

I have terrible feet - flat feet, bunions, arthritis in my toes (all this and I'm only 27 - Attractive!!). I have SO much trouble finding a comfortable shoe. If I were a bridesmaid in a wedding and the bride told me that I had to wear, say, a pointy high-heeled pump, I'd put it on and then kick her with it. Shoes are a very personal thing, and as long as everyone wears compatible colors, I think it would look great and everyone will be happy.

You can if you want. My girls will be wearing the same color shoes, but all different styles.

no - i have yet to see a photo from our wedding where I even see all their shoes, no one pays attention to what is on the BM's feet.
