my church doesnt allow flowers or birdseed or anything for that matter to be thrown. we were just going to do bubbles but i heard they stain satin dresses?? anyone have this happen - is this true??

I too have heard this, but I've been in a million weddings and I've never seen it actually happen! Anyone ever see it stain a dress before??

My sister had bubbles and didn't get any stains on her dress. Her FG though......that's another story!! In the limo she opened up the bottle of bubbles and she ended up spilling the entire thing on the skirt of her dress! Thank god she was on the opposite end of the limo from my sister, so nothing got on her. But you could see some spots on the FG's satin skirt, but that was the extreme of dumping the whole bottle on herself, I think you would be fine with bubbles just being blown in the air. HTH!

This happened to my mom at my cousin's wedding, she was wearing a plum colored dress and it stained it really bad

I saw it happen! It stained her dress ....... there were little yellow dots on it from the liquid. Not sure if it ever came out, but I know she was upset about it........

Well if you're taking pictures after the ceremony I suppose you'd have to worry about the spots being visible in the pictures.

I went to a wedding in November and it left circle hailo spots on the satin part of the brides dress. Most came out with some tlc but some where there to stay. I used the ribbon wands it looked beautiful in pictures.

I think more than immediate the issue with this is the staining over time. kinda like what happens if you put your dress with acidic paper
