hmm.... great question .... i don't THINK mine had tax on it ... but i would have to double-check my contract to be perfectly sure.

mine didn't, we paid with a check.

They charge tax but will knock it down if you pay with cash.

I got charged tax. The only vendors who didn't charge me tax were limos and florist (if I pay cash).

I don't think they're supposed to charge tax. Mine definitely didn't.

I don't think we paid tax but I'm not 100%. He kinda just told us the number and we said fine LOL. So maybe there was tax involved. I'll double check when I get home

I only got charged tax if i paid by check or credit card

They are not supposed to charge tax because they are providing a service. This is what the dj told us.

You can't charge tax on a service where you don't receive goods. And if they tell you that they will knock the tax off to lower the price, they are just lying to you to get your business. Photographers, florists, etc... can charge tax.

no they can't because they are entertainment. same with the truck limos because they are DOT

I don't think they are supposed to, and I think it has to do with the fact that they are providing a service and not a product.
