Do FH's typically take off before the wedding???

I just naturally assumed that they would take off at least the day before, if vaca/personal time allowed. I think FH will have off day before anyways, because his company alternates Fridays off to save money.

I'm wondering because my coworker is getting married tomorrow, and is working, not even leaving early! And this isn't the place where you only have a set number of days off, you can pretty much come and go as you please (except for me, but that's a whole different story). I have to say I was a little shocked to see him today! Are your FH's taking the day before the wedding off to help prepare?

We got married on a Sunday my last day of work was Wednesday. I took Thur, Fri, Sat off. DH only took Saturday the day before off. He worked a half day Friday in the morning, because our RD was that night.

My FH is going to work 1/2 a day on the friday before our wedding.
It's HIS practice, and he's the only one there. Plus we'll be gone for 10 days on our HM.
We don't have a choice.
He'll be off on the Thursday though (so 2 days before the wedding), which is when our rehearsal and RD is.

fh used his whole vacation time to take the whole month of october off

Wedding is Saturday FH and I are both off Wed, Thurs & Fri before.

Yeah he is taking off Friday. He works from home on Fridays though, so not sure why he is using the vacation day.

I read the topic of this post and thought you were asking if FH's 'take off' as in disappear before the wedding! Durrrrr

I'm so silly....I was like umm...I don't think that's a good sign if the FH is 'taking off' before the wedding!

We're getting married on a Friday and FH is only working the Monday and Tuesday of that week, for which I am grateful. Our RD is on a Wednesday and he might need a little recovery time the next day

I worked pretty much a full day the day before the wedding(I left at 2 when I would normally leave at 3), I think FH's last day was Tuesday , but his schedule is funny so having off in the middle of the week is pretty normal for him.
It was one of the best things I did, everything was pretty much done at that point and I would have been home just making things up to worry about. Our rehersal was also the week before the wedding. I may have taken off if that was closer to the wedding. I did take a few random days in the weeks before to get things done when they really needed to be done.
